Peak Cares

In November 2019, Peak Properties launched Peak Cares – a program to work with various charities throughout Chicago and give back where we can.

Most of the charities we have partnered with or will partner with are suggestions from our tenants!

 

November

Common Pantry Lakeview - we donated over 300lbs of food! See website for more donation/volunteer opportunities.

 

December

-826chi" - a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write – we purchased over 10% of their Amazon wishlist! See their website for more donation/volunteer opportunities! They are always looking for youth mentors! Or visit their store on Milwaukee for great books/games for kids of all ages! If you have a school aged kid that might need/want some after-school tutoring, a teacher that wants to teach writing a little differently, or interested in a writing workshop – check out their programs page to learn more and sign up!

 

January

- Simply from the Heart – a non-profit that provides hospitalized patients complimentary bedside beauty services to help raise self-esteem and encourage well-being

 

February

- Project Honeycomb - Honeycomb crafts fun, family-centered volunteer programs for 5,000 youth and families each year. They’re on a mission to engage, mobilize and inspire kids and their families to build strong and vibrant communities for all Chicagoans. – Peak is donating items for “Help Survivors Heal” - providing warmth and community support to survivors of domestic violence. Any tenants are welcome to volunteer for any Project Honeycomb project - https://events.thehoneycombproject.org/ - or use our supplies at Help Survivors Heal on March 28th, registration opens February 15th! The Honeycomb project focuses on family volunteering, so make sure you bring your favorite little ones!

 

March

Voa of Illinois - a national nonprofit organization providing local human service programs and the opportunity for individual and community involvement – Peak will be organizing items ahead of April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month (diapers, bottles, wipes, hats gloves etc)… a detailed wishlist will be published soon! - American Heart Association - is a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives – Peak is super excited to announce a Steps Challenge and Field Day to raise money for American Heart!
