The charities we have partnered with or will partner with are suggestions from both our residents and staff and all are able to participate.
Each month we meet, evaluate and determine an organization that provides aid, assistance and support to our local community.
This is a real partnership between our staff and its residents.

Voa of Illinois - a national nonprofit organization providing local human service programs and the opportunity for individual and community involvement – Peak will be organizing items ahead of April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month (diapers, bottles, wipes, hats gloves etc)… VOA also has lots of opportunities to give your time/skills if you are looking for a different way to give back! https://www.voaillinois.org/volunteer-opportunities
We donated 30+ winter items, 90 bottles and boxes of diapers and wipes!
Project Honeycomb - Honeycomb crafts fun, family-centered volunteer programs for 5,000 youth and families each year. They’re on a mission to engage, mobilize and inspire kids and their families to build strong and vibrant communities for all Chicagoans. – Peak is donating items for “Help Survivors Heal” - providing warmth and community support to survivors of domestic violence. Any tenants are welcome to volunteer for any Project Honeycomb project. In February Peak donated over 350 items!!!
Simply from the Heart – a non-profit that provides hospitalized patients complimentary bedside beauty services to help raise self-esteem and encourage well-being. Our generous donations provided over 3 boxes of lotion and 3 bags of beauty essentials!
826chi - a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write – we purchased over 10% of their Amazon wishlist! See their website for more donation/volunteer opportunities! They are always looking for youth mentors! Or visit their store on Milwaukee for great books/games for kids of all ages! If you have a school aged kid that might need/want some after-school tutoring, a teacher that wants to teach writing a little differently, or interested in a writing workshop – check out their programs page to learn more and sign up!
